UF in Italy: Food Production to Consumption
I spent 3-weeks visiting the regions of Sicily, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, and Lazio exploring how various Italian Food products are produced, packaged, and consumed. We visited vineyards, grapa distilleries, almond pistachio, and coffee plants, pasta factories, olive oil famrs, and cheese plants.
UF in Sorrento: Mediterranean Culture and Internship
I spent a month in the Sorrento area taking a class on the history and culture of Naples and the surrounding area. I also interned at Hotel Bellevue Syrene, a five star hotel located in Sorrento. ​
Throughout my time abroad, I improved my professional skills, Italian, and expanded my perspectives by immersing myself into a new culture and atmosphere.
